Hope your fall has been one full of blessings. As we prepare for the holiday season, I look forward to spending time with my family...and eating, of course. :)
We concluded the ACFW conference in late September, and I took the month of October off to RELAX. I LOVE being the Conference Director, but it's so draining. This year, we had a blast. Here is a photo of me and hubby taken at the awards gala. (I was a finalist in the suspense category...Terri Blackstock won--her entry was a GREAT book)
I am so thrilled the launch for the first book in the Justice Seekers series is January 1, 2012! The first book, INJUSTICE FOR ALL, is truly a book of my heart!
A federal judge lies bleeding on his office floor, betrayed by a most unlikely source—people who helped him bring criminals to justice. Now, why would someone working for the FBI need to disappear after witnessing this crime? When Remington Wyatt sees her godfather’s murder, she recognizes the killers and knows it’s only a matter of time before they come to silence her. She must do the only thing possible to stay alive . . . run. FBI agent Rafe Baxter is serious about his career, and solving a cold case involving a federal judge’s death puts him in line for the promotion he so desires. But the case leads him to the small town of Hopewell, Louisiana, where some secrets seem inextricably hidden deep within the bayou. Injustice for All explores what happens when everything a person believes in is utterly destroyed. Who can you trust? The book is available for preorder! You can v iew the trailer HERE
In the Justice Seekers novels, I mention several meals that I "borrowed" from my own Louisiana family members. I'll be including some "bonus" recipes in future books of the series, but for you, my special friends, I'll share a recipe with y'all-just in time for family gatherings! :
Uncle Dan's Pancakes
1 c flour 1 c milk 1/4 c oil 1 tbs baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 egg Mix well, cook in hot greased skillet until bubbles form and stay open. Only turn once. Serve with liberal amounts of butter and Steen's Ribbon Cane Syrup.

Next month, I'll be adding the page for the Justice Seekers novels!
With the holidays upon us, I'll be taking a break from the review of the month until after the first of the year! :) Stay tuned as I line up some AMAZING prizes for this segment in 2012.
To learn more about me: why I write what I do, what inspired me on the "evil" series, etc, watch THIS!
It's been crazy around here-what with my middle daughter, Remington, keeping us hopping with her cheerleading, and my youngest daughter, Isabella, being the social butterfly that she is. Not to mention our two grandsons being just too sweet! Here are a few family photos I'd like to share with you!

Feel free to email me with any personal questions, and I'll answer as many as I can in this space in future newsletters.
Until next time, may God bless and keep you!
